‘American Ultra’ & ‘Sinister 2’ at the Drive-In!

‘Sinister 2’ and ‘American Ultra’ are playing at the drive-in starting this Friday, August 21st. ‘Sinister 2’, a chilling horror movie, will definitely tickle the nerves of those brave enough to watch it under the stars. The movie plot is short, simply stating that “A young mother and her twin sons move into a rural house that’s marked for death” which leaves much to the imagination. Unless of course you recognize the blood ‘art’ in the poster connecting the source of the deaths to the culprit in the first Sinister movie. Either way, after the first sinister movie took the box office by storm with it’s dual genre style of story telling, there’s no doubt that Sinister 2 is following in it’s predecessor’s footsteps.

‘American Ultra’ on the other hand is an action-comedy film where a stoner, who is in fact a government agent, is marked as a liability and targeted for extermination. This film quickly turns into a high-octane, rapid fire comedic genius movie as the characters face classic overwhelming odds with unique flare and some epic stunts. Just wait until you see ‘the old frying pan and bullet trick.’ Another thing this movie has going for it is that neither the audience, nor the main character know exactly what he is capable of. So after any epic event we can join the character in being utterly confused, impressed, dumbfounded or what-have-you.
