Final The Huntsman: Winter’s War trailer arrives with images of Emily Blunt’s ice queen and Chris Hemsowrth battling Charlize Theron.

This weekend, one of the biggest movies of the year is dropping in the relatively early frame of March. But while Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice makes landfall on Friday, in the lead-up we’re getting plenty of enticing trailers to bide fans’ hype, including this new one for The Huntsman: Winter’s War. In the below trailer, much of the plot for the Snow White sequel (sans a Snow White) can be glimpsed.

Decidedly marketing itself as a prequel with the voiceover musings of “if it’s the Snow White’s tale you’re looking for, discover the story that came before,” The Huntsmanfollow-up looks to be a grim one about two enchanted sisters—one of them touched by ice magic. But it does not look like they’ll be building a snowman anytime soon…

In fact, the trailer seems to foreshadow much of The Huntsman: Winter’s Tale plot, including that Emily Blunt’s icy Queen Freya is made evil by the wickedly entertaining Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) after the latter kill’s Freya’s child. It also seems to indicate that the film will end with Freya and Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman joining forces, doing battle with the franchise’s greatest villain and asset. Also, things apparently do not go well for Freya, who can also be seen laying down below her villainous sister’s feet and even chillier stare.

What the trailer doesn’t spell out is that this is both a prequel and sequel since it begins by detailing Freya and Ravenna’s relationship prior to Ravenna becoming the evil queen in Snow White and the Huntsman. Additionally, at least half of the film will take place after that 2012 film when Freya will resurrect her dead sister back to life so that they can wreak havoc upon all the land together.

But two of Freya’s huntsmen army will defy her: Eric (Hemsworth) and the warrior Sara (Jessica Chastain). They were separated once for defying Freya’s one demand about forever hardening their hearts to love. Now, they will rise up against the combined forces of Freya and Ravenna, if they aren’t thrown into each other on opposing sides of a war first.

And thanks to the trailer, we kind of can fill in the rest. But to get all the explicit fairy tale fun, The Huntsman: Winter’s War opens April 22, 2016.
