Several celebrities, including Queen, Josh Gad, Octavia Spencer and more, took to Twitter during the first day of the Republican National Convention to comment on the speakers.
Queen reacted following Donald Trump’s entrance to its “We Are the Champions” song tweeting, “An unauthorised use at the Republican Convention against our wishes – Queen.”
Gad and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine took to Instagram to also comment on Trump’s entrance.
“Robocop,” “Basic Instinct” and “Total Recall” director Paul Verhoeven said, “To my nerdy mates who care not a jot for US politics: the #RNCinCLE is basically Comic-Con, only the villains are real. And worse.”

Spencer simply tweeted “#RNCinCLE it’s like a car wreck, I can’t look…. but i can’t look away.”
B.J. Novak tweeted during Trump’s wife Melania’s speech, “This is the most he has ever heard her talk.”
“Stranger Things’” Matthew Modine tweeted, “The #RNC2016 is kinda like watching the #JerrySpringer show.”
Orlando Jones commented early on Scott Baio’s speech saying, “What the over/under on @ScottBaio as Secretary of Labor? #RNCinCLE”
Mia Farrow, known most for her role in “Rosemary’s Baby,” spent the night fact-checking speakers at the RNC as well as commentating. “I haven’t seen so many white people in one place since the Ice Capades.”
“Rogue One” writer Gary Whitta tweeted, “Hey look it’s another whitest-person-you-could-possibly-imagine. #RNCinCLE”
Actress Jackee Harry tweeted, “Funny how the GOP defends the opinions of two black men at the #RNCinCLE, yet tries to silence the thousands who say #BlackLivesMatter.”
Ethan Embry tweeted, “After the pain America has gone through this month, I thank the GOP for putting on a week long carnival for us all to enjoy.
#RNCinCLE”
Montel Williams was one of the few celebrities that was complimentary of the first night, saying, “MEMO to Trump Campaign:
