The first news of this week’s gossip is that Emilia Clarke, star of Game of Thrones, has been named the sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine of 2015. The 28 year old celebrated this with a photo and video shoot with Esquire in which she showed off her various assets. Seeing the results of the photoshoot, it’s fairly obvious why she was selected. For more information, you can read her interview found here: http://www.esquire.com/entertainment/interviews/a38719/emilia-clarke-swa-2015/

In more sad news, actress Hayden Panettiere has recently entered treatment for postpartum depression. The actress, famous for her roles on shows like Heroes and Nashville, gave birth to her daughter, Kaya Evodokia, last December with her fiancé at the time, Wladmir Klitschko. In a cruel twist of irony, her character on Nashville, a famous country singer, also experienced postpartum depression. Lastly, Academy Award winning actress and the Hollywood sweetheart of the 2010s, Jennifer Lawrence has written an essay on the gender wage gap, published on Lena Dunham’s (creator of HBO comedy Girls) website, Lenny. In the essay, she writes that she is “over trying to find the ‘adorable’ way to state [her] opinion and be likeable,” and angrily does so in the essay. From the Sony email hack last year, it became clear that both her and Amy Adams were paid less than their male costars in the 2013 film American Hustle. She has had enough of the institutional sexism in Hollywood, and is pushing for people to take a step in the right direction. Hopefully this can inspire the people of Hollywood to head in that direction. More information can be found at this article: http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-34516084
